Baby Boomers Beach Party

The highlight of any Baby Boomers beach party is, of course, the dancing. As DJ John Hamilton spun the hits of the ‘60s and ‘70s, the dance floor came alive with the 136 Boomers who attended. Classic rock ‘n’ roll, Motown, and surf tunes got everyone moving to the beat, with couples twirling and friends showing off their best dance moves.

Some broke into the twist or a bit of the cha cha, while others simply swayed to the rhythm, remembering the days when they danced to these same songs at high school sock hops or on the boardwalk. Whether it was a well-practiced move or just a spontaneous groove, the energy was infectious. The sound of music, clapping, and cheers filled the air as everyone joined in on the fun.

Of course, the party wouldn’t be complete without food and beverages. Pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw, potato salad, and all the fixings were served. The drink feature, of course, was “Sex on the Beach.”

The Baby Boomers beach party wasn’t just a celebration of the past—it was a chance to live in the present, surrounded by the people who make life fun. It was a day to kick back, let loose, and remember that no matter how much time passes, the spirit of the beach party will always be a timeless source of joy.

The next Baby Boomers event will be the Kentucky Derby on April 23.
