Community Outreach
Dianna Duncan announced that the March luncheon donations through Share the Blessings, benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates, totaled $425. These funds will go towards the Care4Kids Program. The Share the Blessing lunch certificate was won by Kathy Oldeson.
April 22 is our next Day of Caring from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can select the activity and time you work at Our Daily Bread. What a fantastic way to give back to our community!
Denton Community Food Center will be the recipient of Share the Blessings in April. Funds will be earmarked for a Snack Pack drive.

From the March 10 Community Outreach meeting, Jen Adame and Beth Potter from CASA of Denton County talked about the CASA program and what a CASA does. We talked about upcoming events for Our Daily Bread and Denton Community Food Center.
For Our Daily Bread, a volunteer buddy system is being established to match new volunteers with an “expert” to help them orient to Our Daily Bread.
For the Denton Community Food Center, the Women’s Club will be hosting a summer Snack Pack event. We will be collecting snack items and donations for Denton school children for snacks during the summer break. More information will be shared during the April luncheon.
