T’was the night before the 4th of July Parade, and all the streets of Robson Ranch were quiet. Why? All the residents were busy in their garages decorating their golf cart, motorcycle, or car so that they could ride in the parade.

It was the morning of July 4. We were wondering how many towels we were going to need to wipe the sweat from our brows. Would we be able to walk the whole stretch of the expanded parade route? But look: The skies are cloudy. There is a chance of rain. The parade may even be delayed. Oh, no! The temperatures are 10 to 15 degrees cooler than last year. Yay!

It was all good! The RR Democratic Club participated in the celebration of freedom for the country we love.

David Holmes and Jane Scholz carried the banner, Patti Kelly distributed bubble wands to the children, and golf cart riders followed behind. All were in good spirits and were welcomed by the crowd.

Afterwards, we gathered at the sport court ramada for a festive celebration of watermelon, cookies, and drinks.
