Doors open at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. In September, come for some great entertainment with Donna Trammel & Friends. Donna is a lyricist, parodist, playwright, and director. Please note: Due to Labor Day, the lunch will be held on Tuesday.
September Buffet: Chicken parmesan, fettuccine, Caesar salad, garlic knots. Dessert: Bread pudding with whiskey sauce and whipped cream.
Luncheon checks are due by Monday, Aug. 25, at 8 a.m. Deposit your $19 luncheon check in the Sports Center, Women’s Lounge, in the white mailbox. You can also pay for the luncheon by PayPal. Check the Women’s Club website at www.rrwomensclub.org. Reminder, separate checks are required for annual membership and the monthly luncheon.
The charity for the September luncheon is CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
For the July meeting, Chris Anderson and Sallie Wasson introduced new members, first-time attendees, and guests. There were seven individuals introduced. During the meeting, we learned that as of the meeting, we had more than 502 members.
Shirley Monge celebrated the July birthdays. The drawing for the birthday card, lunch certificate, and lottery ticket was won by Ruby Wilson.
Community Outreach thanks everyone who participated in the School Backpack Project.
Donna reminded members that the Women’s Club has a Facebook page (Robson Ranch Women’s Club) and encouraged members to like and follow us. Also visit the Women’s Club website at www.rrwomensclub.org. Both sites are up to date with the most current information.
Debbie Deverich announced that the speaker for the August luncheon will be Paula Wolfe, an interior designer with Pressley Design and Company.
Debbie introduced the Friends of the Veterans Trio. The program opened with everyone joining in to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” After this, the various branches of the Armed Forces were recognized. The trio entertained with several patriotic songs and ended with “America the Beautiful.” Everyone had a great time!
