Southlake Swing Band will return, providing music for your dancing and listening pleasure, on Saturday, Aug. 30. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance is at 6:30 p.m. in the Robson Ranch clubhouse ballroom.
The Southlake Swing Band is a 20-piece “big band” with a singer, trumpets, ‘bones, saxes, and rhythm section. These musicians have been entertaining audiences around the Southlake and Denton area for 20 years. They will be playing some old standards as well as some modern rock, pop, and well-known sentimental “crooner” songs; those special songs that can bring memories, a smile, and a sigh. Relive those wonderful songs with the foxtrot, waltz, and other timely dances.
There will be line dancing at intermission.
Tickets are $20 each. Tickets will be available for purchase on Monday, Aug. 18; Wednesday, Aug. 20; Friday, Aug. 22; Monday, Aug. 25; and Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the clubhouse foyer. Tickets are also available by Venmo and Zelle. Click on the appropriate QR code. Advance tickets will be held at the Will Call table the night of the dance. Tickets will also be sold at the door on the night of the dance. Cash, Check, Venmo, and Zelle will be accepted. No credit cards, please.
