Thank you to the retirees from Robson Ranch who showed up at the Denton County Commission to speak in support of countywide Election Day voting—Vote Centers—for our county.
They said Denton County shouldn’t be a place where thousands of voters (10 to 15 percent of those who show up to vote on Election Day in every election) are turned away from the first polling place they visit. They pointed out that this happens on every Election Day, in every election, in polling places all over the county to voters who are Republicans, Democrats, or have no party affiliation.
The group reminded the commissioners that this does not happen in 99 other Texas counties that have countywide Election Day voting.
