In a delightful celebration of compassion and dedication, the Caring Committee of Voices United hosted a special high tea in December to recognize and reward its members for their exceptional service over the past year. The elegant affair, held at the home of Elaine Kushmaul, provided a moment of relaxation and appreciation for the volunteers whose efforts have made an impact on Voices United members.
The event’s ambiance was set with fine China, candles, and tea décor, creating a refined and inviting atmosphere for the committee members who gathered to share stories, laughter, and an exquisite array of treats.
The menu featured classic high tea fare, including a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and an assortment of dainty pastries and sweets, alongside a variety of teas.
The high tea was more than just a social gathering. It was a heartfelt “thank you” to the individuals who embody the spirit of caring. Throughout the year, the Voices United Caring Committee has been involved in numerous initiatives, including sending cards, providing meals and transportation, and conducting days of caring for members who suffered a loss. The shared experience in a beautiful setting provided a unique opportunity for members to connect on a personal level, strengthening the bonds that make the committee so effective.
