More than 275 members of the Road Runners Travel Club gathered on Jan. 28 to ratify a new board of directors and hear updates from the club’s three travel partners. The meeting also offered members a preview of upcoming regional, national, and international travel opportunities.

While snacking on Wildhorse Grill tasty treats, members could spend time with our travel partners who were happy to answer their questions on future travel opportunities. Club President Bob Tastle introduced the organization’s newest partner, Yellow Rose Tours, founded by University of North Texas professor Dr. Andrew Torget. The company specializes in historically focused tours throughout Texas. Two new excursions were announced:

• April 22, Fort Worth: A deep dive into the city’s evolution from a frontier outpost to a defining symbol of the Old West and the American cattle industry

• Oct. 14, Dallas: A historical journey retracing the final days of President John F. Kennedy, including a visit to the former Texas School Book Depository

Members also received an update from Kendall Meade of Brandt Travel, which continues to offer an extensive lineup of trips for 2026 and 2027. Brandt will once again host the club’s most popular annual event—the Winter Annual Cruise, departing in February with more than 160 Robson Ranch residents set to sail the Caribbean.

The meeting concluded with a presentation from Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT), a partner since last fall. Representative Sara Dunn highlighted OAT’s small group adventures to destinations such as Sicily, Morocco, and Peru. The company remains a top choice for solo travelers, thanks to low or no single supplement options on many itineraries.
