The Kiln Krafters Ceramics Club welcomes all its new members. It is so exciting to attend classes and meet new friends, see molds being poured, and know that we will all be taking home our personalized creative art projects bound for prominent display in our houses, gardens, or brightening up a friend’s or relative’s home as a gift.
Kiln Krafters is more than just a place to make ceramics. We’re building a community. In an increasingly busy world, the studio offers a chance to slow down, try something new, and meet others who share an interest in being creative.
With spring right around the corner, we have many molds for items to adorn our outside spaces. I love making stepping stones and rabbits to put in my garden. We have more than 500 molds available, which means you have plenty to choose from and figure out your favorites. Occasionally, we take group trips to an outside ceramics shop to look at what they might have available for sale. This is a quick and easy way to get right into cleaning and glazing your newly acquired ceramic, making your very own masterpieces. These trips are also a great chance for members to spend time together and get to know each other.
As you enter the CATC building near the Ceramics Room (Room 102), you will notice our display windows where we share what’s happening every month. Our eye-catching window displays members’ pieces, playful new pieces, and we will now showcase a member’s work! Our first artist featured is Christy Taylor who has donated an array of ceramics for our display window. Her pieces are fresh, fun, and functional. Christy is so talented. We also have a shelf of “Fresh from the Kiln” ceramics. You can see what our members are creating and how special the pieces are right out of the kiln. There’s something for everyone to discover in our display windows.
Join us for fun and friendship—stop by and meet us!
