Robson Ranch Drama Club

The stage was set on March 29 for the greatest western show of all time. In the late 1890s, the little town of Astaire, Wyoming welcomed its new sheriff, Daisy Dandelion. Robson Ranch Drama Club’s production, Showdown at the Hoedown (or Somethin’ to Crow About), written by Geff Moyer, featured 22 spirited actors under the direction of theater-trained Deb Deverich. Choreographer extraordinaire, Linda Westin taught lively steps to newly minted dancers—Yahoo! Watch for a photo collage in next month’s Pioneer Press.

The purpose of the Drama Club is to: encourage participation in the production of plays (acting, set construction, light design and sound directing), provide Robson Ranch Drama Club members with the necessary skills and experience in the presentation of various forms of plays and skits, provide entertainment to the community, attend performances and workshops outside of Robson Ranch presented by theater professionals.

Drama Club meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. in Room 104 of the CATC building. Anyone interested in joining or learning more is encouraged to attend a meeting or reach out directly. For additional information, please contact Mary Ornberg at mornberg124@gmail.com.
