David Ku, Road Runners Member-at-Large
After years of hard work, many of us enter retirement with a renewed sense of purpose and a bucket list that often includes living closer to family, exploring new destinations, or finally taking those long imagined trips. One of the great advantages of living in this community is the abundance of clubs that help us stay active and connected, including the Road Runners Travel Club.
What makes Road Runners special is the opportunity to travel alongside friends and neighbors while benefiting from the expertise of our outstanding travel partners. Traveling with a group of familiar faces creates a completely different experience than going it alone or even as a couple. Shared interests, shared memories, and shared adventures make every trip richer.
Our travel partners also bring added value: exclusive perks, group discounts, special events, and curated itineraries that would be difficult to arrange on our own. As we embrace this new chapter of life, travel becomes an important part of living fully, and we’re here to help you make it happen.
The Road Runners host semi-annual gatherings to introduce upcoming itineraries and highlight new opportunities from our partners. To stay up to date, visit our website regularly at rrrrclub.com, where you’ll find details, pricing, and sign up information. Many trips fill quickly, so checking in often is the best way to secure your spot.
We also maintain an active Facebook page—Robson Ranch Road Runners Travel Club–Denton Texas. We post frequent updates about newly approved trips and destinations, making it easy to stay informed. My wife and I recently signed up for the 2027 Annual Caribbean Cruise, and we’re already looking forward to it.
Serving on the Road Runners board has opened my eyes to the incredible variety of trips our partners design, many inspired by member requests and tailored to our community’s interests. After a lifetime of working and building, this is our time to enjoy the experiences we’ve earned.
If you have a destination in mind that you don’t see on our current list, simply reach out to one of our board travel consultants. No idea is too big or too small; the only question is whether it’s possible. We’re always happy to explore new options with our partners.
Let’s make the most of this chapter together—one unforgettable journey at a time.
