Women Sharing Hope’sPrayer, Praise and Play group, Connected Hearts, had the privilege of visiting the Israel Prayer Garden at the Global Spheres Center in March. We were welcomed with a private, guided tour that brought the entire garden to life in a memorable way.

From the moment we entered the beautifully maintained space, we sensed that this was more than just a garden—it was a place of reflection, learning, and connection. Designed and cared for by Glory of Zion International Ministries, the Israel Prayer Garden serves as a living expression of unity and faith. Its purpose is rooted in the concept of the “One New Man,” symbolizing the coming together of Jew and Gentile through the love of Jesus Christ. As a group centered on prayer, praise, and fellowship, this message resonated deeply with us.

Our guide, Chris Davidson, spent over an hour walking us through the garden, sharing insight, answering questions, and pointing out details we would have missed. The garden itself is thoughtfully designed to represent ancient Israel, divided into twelve distinct sections—each one symbolizing one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Throughout the space, permanent structures reflect the unique identity and spiritual significance of each tribe, creating an immersive and educational experience.

One of the highlights of the tour was seeing the “Seven Species of Israel” growing within the garden. These biblically significant plants added another layer of meaning, connecting what we were seeing to scripture and history. It was clear that every element of the garden had been intentionally placed to tell a story and invite reflection.

After our tour, we enjoyed a relaxed and joyful time together, sharing the lunches we had brought and taking in the peaceful surroundings. It was a special opportunity not just to learn, but to connect with one another in a setting that encouraged both conversation and quiet reflection.

In addition to the prayer garden, we were introduced to Beulah Acres Agroforest, a community garden space featuring raised beds where individuals grow organic produce year-round. This initiative reflects a beautiful commitment to sustainability, education, and community involvement. Additionally, produce from the garden’s abundance is shared with the public, extending its impact even further.

We also learned that they offer affordable classes in gardening, sewing, pottery, and fine arts—truly something for everyone.

Our visit was enriching, peaceful, and inspiring. If you have never experienced this hidden treasure in our community, we highly encourage you to plan a visit. Whether you go for personal reflection, education, or simply to enjoy the beauty, the Israel Prayer Garden offers something truly special for all, and a guided tour is highly recommended.
