Debbie Deverich, Women Sharing Hope
The Gospel Music Variety Show, proudly presented by Women Sharing Hope and The Jolly Ranchers, was a night to remember! This special evening reflected the heart of Women Sharing Hope, bringing the community together through faith, fellowship, and uplifting experiences. Three musical groups and two soloists provided the audience with a delightful evening filled with music, praise, and laughter. The event touched hearts with poignant stories and songs and brought back memories of sweet evenings filled with much-loved gospel music.
The evening began with the Jolly Ranchers Band, a seven-member group made up of RR residents along with members from Corinth and Krum. The band has been together for three years. Many RR residents have heard them play classic rock, country, and pop tunes, but on this occasion, they shared an assortment of Contemporary Christian and Southern Gospel songs.
Debbie Deverich was up next, singing Contemporary Christian music and sharing some of her personal testimony. Especially fun was “Jesus and My Coffee,” which Women Sharing Hope looks forward to featuring at an upcoming Friday morning gathering.
Arturo Canizares shared “I Can Only Imagine” and spoke of his precious wife, who is now in Heaven, creating a meaningful and touching moment for the audience.
Next up was the Cross Timbers Bluegrass Band. This talented group of singers and instrumentalists has been together for quite a while, which was evident in their smooth vocals and musical style. They performed Bluegrass Gospel with beautiful harmonies, accompanied by banjo, mandolin, and both lead and acoustic guitars.
Last up was the dynamic Shiloh Road Quartet. The group was started in 2003 by Glenn Morrow and has added its current members over the past 15 years. Their music is a combination of well-loved Gospel quartets and original arrangements of Contemporary Christian songs, uniquely styled in the classic Gospel Quartet tradition. They brought the house down with powerful harmonies, lighthearted fun, and enthusiastic audience participation.
Most of all, the evening reflected the mission of Women Sharing Hope—as the audience came together to praise God and worship His glorious gift of music.
