The Photography Club general session meeting was held on June 15, at 7 p.m. in the Creative Arts Technology Center. The meeting was open to all Robson Ranch residents. Prior to the start of the meeting, attendees gathered for a “Meet and Greet” beginning at 6:30 p.m. The informal gathering allowed members and guests to meet and socialize before the program began.
Dick Remski and Peggy Thomas presented images from a trip to Redhill’s Ranch and the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary, showcasing striking wildlife images and dramatic landscapes from these scenic locations. Jerry Schlesinger and Kimo Sutton shared photographs from a recent outing to White Rock Lake, featuring eagles in their natural habitat. During the “Member Focus” segment, Barbara Finney showcased several of her favorite photographs. This segment highlights the interests, creativity, and talents of one of the club’s members.
The club also reviewed the results of the April and May monthly image contests. April’s theme was “Around Robson Ranch” and was limited to images captured with a smartphone camera, while May’s theme was “Sunrises and Sunsets.” Viewing and discussing the contest entries proved to be both enjoyable and educational.
The evening featured outstanding images, fresh ideas, and warm fellowship, making it a memorable experience for all who attended.
