Sigma Chi Brothers Parade Float

Dave Parker, Chapter Scribe

The Sigma Chi Brothers at Robson Ranch were back in full force at the July 4th parade. It’s not a parade unless the Brothers say it is a parade! The night before the parade, the Brothers gathered at the Chapter House for a meal and the final decorating of the Sigma Chi float. The Brothers and their Sweethearts feasted on a meal of smoked pulled pork, appetizers, salads and cupcakes. Brother Mick Fox, Chapter Chaplin, blessed the meal. Brother John Humphries secured the keg for the ceremonial tapping at the feast.

On the morning of July 4th, the Brothers gathered at the Chapter House and loaded the keg, squirt guns, and gallons of water on the float. Brother Mick Fox’s son, Clint, carefully pulled the float while music from “Animal House” played at 10,000 decibels. Honorary Sigma Chi Sweethearts on the float were Amelia and Autumn. In a surprise ambush, the float was met with an incoming squirt gun attack from all sides. Luckily the Brothers were able to repel the attack with a major squirt gun response. With the keg severely drained, the Brothers returned to the Chapter House to remove the decorations.

The Brothers remain on double secret probation at the Ranch! Any Sigma Chis living at the Ranch that would like to join the Brothers, contact Brother John Humphries at CQJH@aol.com. We look forward to welcoming you to the Chapter.
