Months of planning came together at Fellowship At The Ranch Church’s July 3 party, held in preparation for the Robson Ranch 4th of July Parade. Members, friends, and family gathered to decorate vehicles for the parade. Amid fellowship and laughter, they worked together to add red, white, and blue decorations to golf carts, cars, and a truck. The lead truck featured colorful banners and a cross. By the time the decorating was complete, each vehicle had its own patriotic look. Afterward, everyone gathered inside for a delicious lunch of barbecued hot dogs, salad, chips, and cookies. It was a joyful time of decorating, tasty food, and fellowship.
The next morning the 19 vehicles met at the designated spot to line up for the parade. Prior to the beginning of the Parade, they visited some of the floats and other groups, enjoying the camaraderie. As the parade began, our group was led by Pastor Tony Jeffrey and his wife Kathy, in their truck with an eight foot cross standing in the back. They were followed by a golf cart with the American and Christian flags proudly flying in the breeze. The remaining patriotically decorated carts and cars filled with smiling, flag-waving participants followed. You could hear them calling out to the crowd “God Bless America” and “Happy 4th of July!” As the Flags passed by the crowd, several men removed their hats and saluted the Flags. Further along the route, a large group started singing, “God Bless America.” It was hard to say who had more fun … the parade participants or the crowds lining the parade route!
The 4th of July Parade is just one of the many events Fellowship At The Ranch Church participates in. Watch for information on upcoming Bible Studies, Events, Concerts, and a Seminar.
