Guest speaker Russell Graves
Frank Barnhart
The Photography Club held its general monthly meeting on Aug. 17, at the Creative Arts Technology Center. Members and guests gathered at 6:30 p.m. for an informal meet-and-greet before the evening’s program.
Russell Graves, a professional photographer and tour guide, was the featured presenter. Known for his engaging storytelling and artistic wildlife photography, Russell shared experiences from photographing wildlife around the world. He also discussed his extensive work documenting Texas rural, agricultural, and cowboy life through both words and images. His work has appeared regularly in Texas Highways and Texas Parks and Wildlife, and his portfolio includes hundreds of articles and more than 200 magazine covers.
The program also included the results of the Photography Club’s July monthly image contest. With no assigned theme, the entries showcased a wide variety of subjects and photographic styles. Reviewing the images provided an enjoyable and educational opportunity for members to appreciate the creativity and unique perspectives of their fellow photographers.
The club’s general membership meeting is held on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Creative Arts Technology Center. All Robson Ranch residents are welcome to attend. More information about the Photography Club is available on the club’s website at rrphotoclub.org. Questions may also be directed to Frank Barnhart at lightcollector100@gmail.com.
