The new After-Schoolers Board has been busy planning activities for the two schools, Borman Elementary and LaGrone Academy, that we sponsor throughout the school year. We catered lunch at Borman from Olive Garden and LaGrone enjoyed Cheddar’s during their professional development days.
Our meetings are on the second Friday of the month from August through May at 10:30 a.m. in the Heritage Room in the Clubhouse. Our mission is to support teachers and staff throughout the school year with staff appreciation surprises of lunches, monies, and wish lists.
We also recently delivered teacher supplies to Borman Elementary that were donated by the New Life Church Ladies’ Friendship Circle at Robson Ranch. The teachers really appreciated their generosity!
This year members are invited to read with children in small groups, but only if they choose to participate. If you love teachers and what they do, please join us! You need not to have been an educator, but one that appreciates the career.
