Music Club and North Texas Giving Day

Frances Hackley

The Robson Ranch Music Club participates in North Texas Giving Day, this year on Sept. 17.

Giving opened on Aug. 27 at northtexasgivingday.org. North Texas Giving Day is Communities Foundation of Texas’ largest community investment initiative. One hundred percent of each donation goes to the nonprofits. Our Music Club is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization working purposely to offer concerts and other music-related events to the residents of Robson Ranch and surrounding areas, enriching the lives of choir members and our audience.

The Club’s primary activity is the sponsorship of a community choir. Our events not only bring entertainment to the community but also are vital in helping to support our choir needs. North Texas Giving Day is another avenue in helping with the never-ending costs of directors pay, accompanist pay, new music, storage of music and equipment, equipment, insurance, and other expenses.

The Music Club’s goal is to continue to improve musically and to provide the best performance experience for audiences. To achieve that goal, the Music Club works to raise funds for the choir to continue work under the direction of Dr. Arturo Ortega. In addition to our professional director, we also have a professional accompanist, Paul Lees. Professional musicians are also hired for our six choral concerts. By doing so, the musical experience for both choir members and audience is greatly enhanced. While the music club is committed to this level of performance quality, it does increase our costs, making fundraising activities of various types imperative.

Providing art and music to the community is vital for the general well-being of a community, it is of utmost importance to the choir participant. Being in a choir enhances one’s overall well-being by supporting memory skills, breathing, and fending off anxiety and loneliness. Please consider a donation, no amount too small, by going to northtexasgivingday.org and put Robson Ranch Music Club in the search space then enter your amount. Easy peasy! Thanks for considering.
