The Movie Lovers

The February meeting of the Movie Lovers Group was down slightly with members traveling and some health issues. It did not stop the lively discussion this month of movies that were nominated for Academy Awards. The Revenant was clearly impactful on those that saw the movie. It was a clear favorite to win Best Picture and Best Actor. The group also gave “two thumbs up” to Bridge of Spies, The Martian, Brooklyn, Creed and Star Wars. Scott Baker received a thank you from the group for getting the Movie Lovers Group on My Grove. We can now read about movie reviews and communicate via My Grove. The next meeting is the annual Academy Awards night when the group gathers to watch the awards as they are presented on TV. Some of the members are dressing up in full “Academy attire!” There is even a rumor of a red carpet and valet parking! As always the group enjoyed popcorn, wine, dessert and movie discussion!
