You’ll see Singles Club members taking advantage of the numerous activities offered by the HOA and the club. The alignment of three great activities on March 18 had to be celebrated by this group of fun-loving singles.

Thanks to the savvy scheduling of our vice president Cheryl Bryson, we had the Wildhorse Bar to ourselves for music and dancing at the same time as the HOA’s first Food Truck Social of the year. Plus, the Rollin’ Ranchers Car Club brought their awesome cars to the clubhouse parking lot.

Singles Club member Danny McKinley drove up in his 1994 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 series pickup truck. A true Southern Classic—both the man and the machine. As I browsed the vintage and classic cars, I was drawn to the Morris Minor 1000 series car. The “Englishness” of this little car made me want to listen to 1960s British music while driving the Ranch with the top down.

Feeling a bit peckish, it was time to visit the food trucks. So much to pick from: tamales, chicken and waffles, and freshly made mini-donuts (this truck even has a viewing window where you can watch the donuts being made—it’s like a mini-factory). But the crowd favorite was Cousins Maine Lobster. With a few taps on my phone, I avoided the long line and ordered a lobster roll using their app.

Off to the bar to get a drink and mingle with my friends while I waited for my meal to be ready for pickup. DJ Love, aka Cheryl Bryson, was set up with a special playlist that was just perfect for the crowd (she knows her people) and the mood, starting off with tunes we could listen to while chatting over our stellar selection of food truck favorites and custom cocktails.

As the evening progressed, DJ Love cranked up the music, and the energy in the room changed. We were soon up on our feet showing off our dance moves to a fantastic, curated playlist of ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s dance tunes. She even played a few party line dances for us so we could practice what we’ve learned in our line dance classes.

As the sun started to set on the Ranch, we toasted to another successful, fun-filled Singles Club activity. And the best part? We are doing this again. Come join us!
