John James Melkus (JJ)

Our 44-year-old and youngest artist resident hails from Nebraska. He now lives with his father Gordon Melkus here at the Ranch. JJ holds a degree from Fresno College in CNC (Computer Numeric Control).
An avid sports fan, JJ enjoys football, ice-hockey, and soccer. His favorite teams are the Eagles, the Devils, and Liverpool Soccer. JJ enjoys a variety of music—everything except country music!
JJ has been painting with the Paint & Palette Club for the past two years. He loves to work with geometric shapes, and his work is filled with vibrant colors, using acrylic paint and markers. He considers himself an experimental artist, waiting to see how each painting develops. The resulting creation is wonderful, moving artwork.
