Autumn officially arrived, and to celebrate the changing of the seasons the Robson Ranch Dance Club hosted its “Autumn Moon Dance” on Friday, September 30. The atmosphere was amazing that night with an electrifying energy coming from the revelers who came out and made it happen on the dance floor. The ballroom and tabletops were decorated with fall foliage and twinkling lights along with an assortment of sweet treats. Whatever your tempo, the DJ played music to entice everyone to the dance floor: rock and roll, swing, country and western and Latin. There were also the latest line dance crazes and popular songs to keep things hopping.

Along with the party the Dance Club held its annual meeting and announced its dance parties for the upcoming year. The current club officers will continue to serve in 2017: Sharon Heidebrecht, president; Joan Newcomer, vice president; Jerry Schlesinger, treasurer; and Vicki Baker, secretary.

Much thanks and gratitude were extended to Kathy Lapp, Bert Zeitlin and Geraldine Gawle for their service in making the past year a resounding success. Also a great big thank you was offered to the many sponsors who provided door prizes in the way of gift certificates and gift baskets for all the lucky winners.

The Autumn Moon Dance was a fun-filled “night on the town” even if we didn’t travel far. So mark your calendars for the 2017 dances for good times ahead. Visit our website at www.rrdanceclub.weebly.com.
