The Big Swing’n Band Club presents, for your listening and dancing pleasure, the Gainesville Swing Orchestra on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and dancing is from 7 to 9 p.m. at the air-conditioned Robson Ranch clubhouse ballroom.

The Gainesville Swing Orchestra is a 20-piece “Big Band” with singers, trumpets, trombones, saxophones, and a rhythm section. This band is great to dance to or just listen to—a top-level group of musicians! They have become a regular here at the Ranch and have proven to be a top draw in our Dance and Concert series.

The Gainesville Swing Orchestra has been entertaining audiences around the Gainesville and Denton areas for 20 years and is made up of musicians, many of whom are professionals in other regular Big Bands. The band plays old standards, and they add in charts from modern rock, pop, and the well-known “crooner” songs you know and love. Bring your dance partner and relive those good ol’ days with swings, ballads, Latin, foxtrots, waltzes, and all the rest.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the clubhouse foyer on Monday, Aug. 14; Wednesday, Aug. 16; Friday, Aug. 18; and Monday, Aug. 21, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tickets will be sold at the door as well! A cash bar will be available.
