Brutus Backers Cheer for the Buckeyes

Janet Pauley

Around two dozen Ohio State fans gathered in the lounge on Nov. 3 to support the Buckeyes as they took on their arch rivals, the Michigan Wolverines. It was a very close game, but, sadly, the Buckeyes did not prevail. They lost 13-10 in a very exciting matchup. A cool side note was that the Michigan fans were next door in the bar cheering on their team. It is so much fun to be in a community that encompasses families from all over the country.

Although we suffered a loss that would make our chances for a national title a little more difficult, we still had a wonderful time getting to know each other. Our club, Brutus Backers of Robson Ranch Texas, is actually not football based. You do not have to have gone to Ohio State to be in the group. It is open to all who have lived in Ohio at some point. There are people who grew up in Ohio, others who attended college in Ohio (not necessarily OSU), and others who worked in Ohio. It was great getting to hear about the different communities within Ohio and what brought people to now live at Robson Ranch. Many of us moved here due to family living in the area.

Whatever brought you here to our wonderful community, we would love to have you join us in the future. There are no dues for our club. We are planning on having another get-together in the spring, possibly on the patio. We will post any upcoming events in the newsletter.
