Looking for a volunteer gig? Want to give back to your Denton community?
Located in Denton off the 288 Loop (easy drive) you will find many of your Robson neighbors already hard at work there.
The Denton Community Food Center is in need of more volunteers. We currently have opportunities on either Monday or Wednesday (both days if you are so inclined). Hours are approximately 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. both days.
Positions vary, and we will work with you to be sure you are doing work that you love. You might help pack grocery bags with canned goods or soft goods. You might pack frozen foods or produce. Want to get your steps in? You can be a shopper and fill baskets for the families in need. Men, we need your muscle. Help is always needed with heavier items or boxes to go into the shopping carts.
We could also use analytical skills for help with Excel spreadsheets for the proper reporting to the federal and state agencies. A requirement for this would be a strong analytical background, and this work can be done outside of the traditional Mondays/Wednesdays we serve families.
Proof of vaccination is required to volunteer.
Interested? We hope to hear from you. Please contact Dallas Newell at [email protected] to begin your adventure!
