Marion Napurano
The first meeting for the Robson Ranch Catholic Club after their summer break was held on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the home of John and Marion Napurano. The agenda for the evening was a little different than the norm because our first speaker had to get to St. Mark Catholic Church to speak there as well. She was Mary Stroupe head of St. Mark Respect Life Ministry. Mary gave a very informative talk and shared Respect Life’s calendar of events to be held during the next several months. One of these events is called “33 Days to Morning Glory”. It is a six-week retreat to the consecration to our Blessed Mother Mary. The retreat will begin the first week of November and, at the end of the six weeks, participants will make their consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Mass on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
Irene Manning then asked the group if there were any prayer requests. Several members asked for prayers for family members and friends as well as prayers for our country and all the souls lost on September 11, 2001.
Next the floor was turned over to Terry Hitch leader of the Grief Sharing Ministry at St. Mark. Terry explained that Grief Share is a program which consists of 13 weekly meetings. Participants in the program come from all walks of life and even of different faiths, the one thing they all have in common is the loss of a loved one. During these 13 weeks, friendships are formed with a caring group of people who will walk through one of life’s most difficult experiences by your side. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
Marge Lane asked the group if they wish to continue to supply bags for Our Daily Bread again this Christmas. Everyone was in favor of continuing to supply these much-needed items to Our Daily Bread.
All Robson Ranch Catholic Club meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month. Please watch the HOA daily emails for locations and times each month.
