The R.R. Ballroom was full of nostalgia for the Dance Club’s “Sock Hop” on April 10. From poodle skirts and rolled up jeans to hula hoops and soda shoppe memories, the 50s era was back again. Freddie and the Falcons brought Rock ‘n Roll to the ranch, and oh how we danced.
The hula hoop contest proved that all but Deb Davis had forgotten how to keep that hoop from falling to the floor. Deb kept that hoop going for the whole Wooly Bully number. Great job!
When it came time for the twist contest it was hard to pick a winner as there were so many good twisters, but the prizes went to Donna Ross and Connie Dubois.
As always we appreciate all who helped decorate and take down after the dance. Thanks so much! Also a big thank you to our sponsors: Paradise Liquors, Classic Cafe, R.R. Golf Club, Wildhorse Grill, R.R. Music Club and Fuzzy’s Tacos. Everyone enjoys winning a door prize.
The next dance is Island in the Sun on July 17. Joel Morris will once again be the DJ. Tickets will go on sale July 6. Join us as we have a lot of fun.
