Denton County Office of History and Culture

On April 22, celebrate Earth Day and enjoy an afternoon garden tour at Denton County Historical Park. Members of the Denton County Master Gardener Association will lead a free tour of the park grounds at noon.

Attendees will learn about Victorian-era gardening, herbs, roses, and Texas native plants and flowers. Children can participate in a paper pot activity to learn more about plant growth and development from the Master Gardener’s SWAt (Science with Attitude) program. There will be an “Ask a Master Gardener” booth with volunteers to answer any gardening questions and provide helpful tips.

Denton County Historical Park is located at 317 W. Mulberry Street in Denton. Parking is available in the lot at Carroll and Mulberry Streets, and handicap-accessible parking is available behind the Bayless-Selby House Museum. The museums at Denton County Historical Park are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit dentoncounty.gov/CHOS for more information.
