Decorated for Christmas

Merry Christmas

Carol Collins, Carol’s Custom Draperies

By now the stockings are “hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nick will soon be here.” The turkey is ready to be thawed and dressed for your very special dinner. The decorations are just as perfect as you hoped they would be. Now, are there any last minute touches you can put on your Christmas “scene?”

From the front door to the mantel a garland of green will add a touch of festive air to your décor. Add your holiday cards, tiny ribbons and even lights for the finishing touch.

A grapevine wreath loaded with baby’s breath and a red ribbon offers a warm welcome to your arriving guests.

Candles add a special glow to any décor. Use all shapes and sizes. I like using white candles, so elegant yet festive. Vary your candle holders to make your presentation a bit more exciting.

For your table decorations search for something you already have on hand. You might be surprised by how many great décor accessories you already have in your home. Think serving trays and bowls, wooden crates and boxes, and natural objects such as driftwood or birch logs that can be turned into beautiful centerpieces and table settings.

Now you should be ready for the most wonderful time of the year, celebrating our Savior’s birth. We at Carol’s want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. And may God richly bless you through family and friends.

We invite you to watch for our BIG announcement in January. We are excited to be moving to a new location. Watch for the details in my January column.
