The new board of the Happy Tails Dog Club has started a “Dog of the Month” recognition program. It began at the October club event where Santa pictures were taken of club members’ dogs. Each person who came to the event entered their dog’s name in a drawing. Elizabeth Vaughn’s dog, Precious, was randomly drawn as the October winner.
Dr. Elizabeth Vaughn adopted Precious from DFW Humane Society when the Lhasa Apso mix was a year old; she is now seven. Precious was her name when she was adopted, and Dr. Vaughn decided to keep the name. Molly and Lucy, Dr. Vaughn’s other two dogs, are her two playmates. Precious prefers pink bows and pearls for her attire.
Precious has a whole basket full of toys but no favorite ones. She expresses happiness for any reason by grabbing a toy and running around in circles. She’ll shake hands for a treat and loves to ride in the car. Like many pets, Precious is not fond of storms; they make her nervous and she shakes nervously when she hears thunder and sees flashes of lightening.
Congratulations to Dr. Vaughn and Precious for being the winners of the first Happy Tails Dog of the Month.
