Rain, rain, go away…and it did just that for the Living Well Walkabout on Saturday, April 25. Over the past week, just as we thought it was warming up, Mother Nature decided to send a downpour of rain. But on this weekend morning bright sunshine and mild temperatures met the 11 walkers at the 8:00 a.m. start time. The walkers were not deterred by the standing water and muddy paths from the recent three inches of rain that had fallen over the area. Although there was a nip in the early morning at the start of the walk, it didn’t take long to work up a sweat as they kept a brisk pace along the well-marked three-mile route. Several new residents came out for the walkabout. They were joined by some long-time residents walking for the first time as well as the regulars.
Come join the Living Well walkabouts held at least one Saturday morning each month, weather permitting. The three-mile routes are clearly marked by directional signs.
