Your HOA Facilities Committee has been charged with analyzing the use of our current facilities and amenities and providing recommendations for future community needs. The findings will be based on objective data that the committee will be collecting from a variety of sources. The expectation is that the report to the HOA Board on this project will occur in the first quarter of 2025. The Facilities Committee has organized a subcommittee to work on this project, headed by Kathleen Dial.
The success of this effort will depend on your participation at input meetings the week of May 20 and in a community survey.
The first step by the subcommittee is to hold an open forum to explain the project to Robson residents and start the feedback process. One goal of this meeting is to begin to understand what our residents think about our current amenities, excluding the golf course and the Grill, and to identify what kind of amenities our residents would like to see in the future. We will be holding the first forum session on Monday, May 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Lone Star Room in the clubhouse so that our working residents can fully participate in this project. We will hold a second session on Tuesday, May 21, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Lone Star Room of the clubhouse.
In tandem with the forum, the subcommittee will be conducting a survey to gather data about usage of current amenities and thoughts about the priority of these amenities in our community. This survey will be distributed through our HOA email system and through paper copies, available at the HOA office. The subcommittee will also request data from Robson clubs on the current activities and membership and ask for projections on future growth.
As part of the understanding of needs for active adults, the subcommittee will be reviewing the competitive landscape in 55+ communities. Gathering this data, along with demographics, will give the subcommittee a broader view of future requirements to attract new residents and to encourage current residents to stay.
After accumulating data, the subcommittee will present an analysis to the Facilities Committee. From this analysis, the Facilities Committee will make recommendations to the HOA Board for consideration of changes to existing amenities and for future amenities.
This analysis will only be as good as the data on which it is based. The Facilities Committee is counting on the residents to provide objective data. The committee is also counting on the residents to provide insight into the amenities that they would like to see. Please come to the forum and please complete the survey.
