In the doldrums of February, we need to enjoy music that will lift our spirits. If you attend the February luncheon of the Robson Ranch Women’s Club on Feb. 7 (the doors open at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.) you will hear Rhonda Medina, a celebrity impersonator, singing songs made famous by Barbra Streisand. You will also be treated to a wonderful meal of chicken piccata, angel hair pasta, vegetables, and cheesecake with strawberry-flavored whip cream.
Rhonda is a professional actress, vocalist, and celebrity impersonator from Hollywood, Calif. She has a musical theater background and specializes in Big Band vocals. She is currently the lead female vocalist for the Upswing Jazz Band, located in Dallas. She worked for 10 years as a celebrity impersonator, performing in musical comedy shows. In addition to impersonating Barbra Streisand, Rhonda also impersonates Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Bette Midler, Christina Aguilera, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Cindy Lauper, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Mae West.
The charity of the month for February is the Friends of the Family.
Your 2022 membership dues can be paid at the luncheon. The dues will be $20.
