“Folds of Sand” by Mike Waterhouse

The first place photograph for May was taken by Mike Waterhouse and titled “Folds of Sand.” He stated that he “hiked out into the Mojave Desert before sunrise to position myself to catch the best highlights and shadows of the sand dunes.” Folds of Sand was judged to be the first place club entry by renowned photographer, lecturer and judge, Steve Kozak. Mike’s photograph and all the other award winning May entries are on display in the hallway of the CATC building.
The next meeting of the photography club will be Monday night, July 20, at 7:00 p.m. in room 104 of the CATC building. Randy Hatcher will give a presentation on drone photography. Several of his drone photographs are on display in the showcase. All levels of photography are welcome. Plan to attend and go home with some fresh new ideas!
