Food and Fellowship—Celebrating Christmas

Cynthia Drury

Good food, Christian fellowship, and conversation was the order of the day as over 70 members and guests of Fellowship At The Ranch Church came together for our Fourth Annual Christmas Potluck. There was an air of excitement and anticipation as people arrived following the Sunday worship service. Food was dropped off to volunteer “runners.” Volunteer “golf cart shuttle drivers” helped people get from their cars to the party, Robson Ranch style. Soon the kitchen counters were full of amazing food from salads, vegetables, potatoes, and the chicken main course to the popular dessert rooms, which included pies, cakes, and cookies.

We praised God for providing wonderful, cool weather for the party, allowing for seating both inside and out. The holiday decorations provided a festive backdrop for the luncheon. Fellowship was evident, as people barely paused their conversations for lunch to begin. Pastor Ed Jones prayed for God’s blessings, and then it was time to eat—and eat we did!

The Christmas party is one of the wonderful ways our congregation comes together in fellowship. Joy and love were apparent as we celebrated the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ!
