Robson Ranch Gardening Club will meet on Monday, September 18, at 10:00 a.m. We will have as our guest speaker Susan Pohlen from the Elm Fork Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist organization. This is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in affiliation with Texas A & M/AgriLife Extension Service and Texas Parks & Wildlife. The program will be “The Ecology of North Central Texas.”
Have you ever planted a tree or flower and wonder why it didn’t perform well while others you planted seemed to take over the yard? Or perhaps you’ve wondered from time to time why you don’t see the critters you played with as a kid, for instance horned lizards, fireflies, box turtles, tarantulas. Did you know that North Central Texas is one of the richest places in North America when it comes to species diversity, and that it is more threatened than ever? If your curiosity is peaked, then this presentation on the ecology of North Central Texas is for you.
All Robson Ranch residents are invited to attend our meetings so mark your calendars! If anyone is interested in becoming a member of the Garden Club we will begin collecting the club dues of $10 per household at our September meeting. Please join us in the Clubhouse Lone Star Room at 10:00 a.m. The program will begin at 10:20 a.m.
