A group of grape lovers in our NxNW neighborhood meets monthly to taste wines from around the world and cocktails made with whiskey, rum, tequila, and more. We call it “GEM” for short.
The host chooses a tasting of wine, spirits, or foods. Each member brings their own bottle to share with the group and tells about its origin, along with an appetizer that will pair with their chosen beverage. It’s a small group with lots of fun and friendship.
The theme in June was wines from South Africa at the home of Bob and Jeanette Elliott.
