What a wonderful turnout by the horseshoe throwers of Robson Ranch. We had three tournaments:
100 throws – Most Ringers
100 throws – Most Points
Horseshoe Madness – single elimination (like March Madness)
This was also the first year that we had a women’s bracket, with Beverly Albarran taking the gold medal and Doris Koenig taking the silver.
Bob Cook continues to show why he is the premier thrower at the horseshoe pits as he won two gold medals and one silver medal.
In the men’s bracket Bob Cook won the Ringers category with 16 ringers, Steve Bentley the silver with 15 ringers and Joey Misiaszek and Doug Hagan the bronze with 13 ringers. Bob Cook also won the gold medal with 115 points, Steve Bentley the silver with 113 points and Joey Misiaszek the bronze with 99 points.
The Horseshoe Madness bracket was a hotly contested event with several matches having to go to a tiebreaking session. Steve Bentley won the bronze, and in a repeat of last year’s tournament Joey Misiaszek took the gold with Bob Cook taking the silver.
