I hear a train a’coming—it’s coming down the tracks

And it was full of the Red Hot Ranchers Ladies as they traveled by train from Denton to Carrollton for a day of shopping and eating on Friday, April 10. Seventeen ladies attended the event. Many of the members had not ridden a train in years, and they agreed it was a delightful experience and a fun and inexpensive way to get around.

Hostesses Carol Solow, Lore Carr and Chris Tarczon did a scouting excursion before the trip and checked out all the shopping and eating places. They were able to get the merchants to give special discounts to our ladies as they shopped, and some even gave a gift to each person. You will see many of their purchases as they proudly wear them around the Ranch.

Lunch was at the World of Cooking where they most graciously set up tables with Red Hat decorations on them. These sisters always manage to have a good time wherever they may go.

Numerous Hoots are being planned in the upcoming weeks, and the next event will be a trip to McKinney, TX in May. The April Hoot was an April 22 trip to the Denton County Courthouse to see an exhibit of old time Denton County.
