On Oct. 21, many of the International Club members gathered for a dinner out at Amano Italian Bistro in Northlake. What a treat that was! After yet another two- to three-month hiatus from meeting because of increased numbers in COVID-19 infections in the Denton area, the club suspended gatherings temporarily. Now, with numbers rapidly decreasing, most members were more than ready to see each other again and, yes, a great time was had by all!
Amazingly, just a few days prior to dining there, the restaurant sustained considerable damage when an 18-wheeler lost two of its front tires, one of which slammed into/through Amano’s restaurant at high speed, causing considerable damage. Much to the owner’s credit, the damage was dealt with immediately, and the restaurant was back up and running with its usual great food and service.
The International Club’s next gathering will be Nov. 18, and will be hosted by one of our members, TBA. If you qualify for membership, please come join us. We’d be happy to have you as new members or as guests considering joining.
