Kiln Krafters Honors 100 Years of Disney

Frances Hackley

The Kiln Krafters here at Robson are always a bunch of busy little bees. In honor of Disney’s 100-year anniversary, Ronda Swanson decided to go all “Fantasmic” and create some of Disney’s most well-known characters. You should definitely go to the Arts and Craft building and get a good look at her handiwork. Disney has always urged us to use our imagination, and that is exactly what Kiln Krafters is all about.

Think about joining Kiln Krafters and use your imagination to design, create, and hone your skills. Participating in the arts is good for your muscles, increases self-esteem, and boosts cognitive skills. The act of creation in ceramics is a gentle one, which can strengthen your hands, wrists, and arms. For those with arthritis in your hands, this is most helpful and can promote dexterity and joint movement. It is also great for fending off depression or loneliness in that you get to join a social circle of awesome folks. Tap into your imagination and create your own special something. No need to “wish upon a star,” you need not go far!
