All are welcome at the Kiwanis of Robson Ranch Open House on Jan. 16, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Bandera Room.
Robson Ranch Kiwanis Club serves the children of Denton County, along with other charitable organizations in need.
To be a member of Kiwanis means the opportunity to be part of the solution and give back to those in our Denton County community, whether they are families, individuals, or organizations. Each member of the club decides their level of volunteering.
To learn more about our organization, we invite you to attend one of our meetings. They are held on the first and third Fridays of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. at the clubhouse. Our meetings are friendly, fun, and informative. At each meeting we have exceptional speakers from all walks of life, from Mayor Hudspeth, Commissioner Dianne Edmondson, Rhett Hubbard, a representative from the Denton County Recycling Program, Denton Master Gardeners, and a program on the current status of electric cars.
Kiwanis donates to a wide range of Denton County charitable organizations. The speakers who attend our meetings always give an informative and heartfelt presentation. An example of the speakers are Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, Patriot Paws, St. Jude’s Hospital, Denton Back the Blue, Lovepacs, Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home, Interfaith Ministries, Freedom House, Apollo Support & Rescue for animals, Refuge for Women, and the Rainbow Room.
Also, Kiwanis RR provides $1,000 scholarships each year to five outstanding students at Texas Woman’s University.
As residents of Robson Ranch, we are fortunate to reside in a beautiful, active, diverse, prosperous, and caring community. The personal benefits of “giving back” to help those in need in Denton County is greatly rewarding and requires a minimal amount of time. As a member of Kiwanis RR, when you witness the smiles from the folks to whom we lend a helping hand, the reward that you feel may exceed that of the appreciative recipient!
Kiwanis welcomes all in our great community to give a portion of your time and skills to help those in need and join those who want to make Denton County and our world a better place.
If interested in joining or if you need additional information, please contact Greg Laffey, membership chairman, at 617-529-9997 (call or text) or email [email protected].
