Over 40 Lady Niners joined together to finish the 2020 season in a spooky nine-hole challenge designed by DeeDee Karabetsos and Mary Sholty. Dressed in appropriate costume, every golfer faced a unique opportunity to excel on each hole, and the best player was rewarded with a prize. At the end, all scores were tallied and first and second places were recognized. First place went to Yvonne Callaway, Fran Norris, and Angela Waters, and second place to Frances Rolater, Renee Smith, Jane Thompson, and Roxy Elting. At the end of the event, the women recognized retiring president Jane Thompson, and thanked her for her strong leadership through this unusual year of golf. A big salute went to the new 2021 president, Megan Wiegand.
The Lady Niners come together to play in teams, individual play, special events, and sometimes unique games; all for the fun of the game of golf. In 2020, 148 women called themselves Lady Niners and in spite of COVID restrictions, enjoyed months of golf.
