On March 27 Women Sharing Hope held our first movie event featuring the movie Left Behind, Rise of the Antichrist for Robson residents in the clubhouse.
The movie depicted six months after millions of people disappeared in the Rapture. As the world is just beginning to recover, a so-called expert claims that a second wave of vanishings is imminent. News anchor Cameron Buck sets out to disprove her theory. On a parallel journey, Ray tries to convince his daughter that his wife’s disappearance was, in fact, the Rapture. In a world where Biblical truth is censored and vilified, he’s desperate for answers. As their paths begin to converge, Buck soon realizes that the story is much bigger than he could have imagined. They are indeed living in the end times prophesied in the Bible and facing the rise to power of the evilest and most dangerous human being in history—the Antichrist.
After the movie, Dr. Elizabeth Vaughan spoke to the audience about the biblical aspects of the movie and shared a message on salvation and eternal life.
Our volunteers, while dressed in attire reminiscent of movie ticket takers and concessionists, welcomed those attending and assisted at the popcorn concession and wherever needed to help make our first movie viewing a success. We had a great turnout, with a total of 95 people coming out for this event.
Our next movie event will feature the box office hit Jesus Revolution. We will be sending out more details on the date and time in the upcoming months.
