Looking for the Perfect Valentine Gift?

Residents at 2021 “Are You Prepared to Be Left Behind?” event

Two years ago, Women Sharing Hope held a wildly popular event called “Are You Prepared to Be Left Behind?” for 300 Robson Ranch residents. We’ve been asked to host another updated presentation, which will be on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the clubhouse ballroom.

Do you and your spouse each know where to quickly find vital information should one of you become incapacitated or pass from this life? Things like …

• Where are the account numbers and passwords for charge cards, financial accounts, etc.?

• Where are the birth certificates, marriage license, deed to the house, title to the car, etc.?

• Do each of you have a credit card solely in your own name?

• Is our will or living trust up to date? Is there a power of attorney for health? Where are these documents located?

• How do I set and turn off the home alarm system? What is that code?

• Where is the water cutoff to the house? How do I winterize the irrigation system?

Women Sharing Hope invites men and women to join us for an informative session that will empower you to set up your affairs with meticulous detail, ensuring that your loved ones are equipped with everything they need to know to handle matters efficiently. The session is jam-packed with information to help prepare for the death of a spouse. By attending this presentation, you’ll not only be taking a proactive step towards securing your legacy, but also providing your family with the invaluable gift of a well-organized plan for the future. As we navigate the winter journey of life, it becomes increasingly important to plan for our and our loved one’s future.

A panel of widows and widowers will share their firsthand experiences, and there will be information on legal issues, caregiver issues, hospice, grief groups, widows ministry, and more.

Attending this event would be the perfect Valentine gift for your loved one. No need to buy candy or flowers—this gift speaks for itself. Give a Valentine this year that lives on long after the candy box is empty and the flowers have faded. The cost to attend is $20 for an individual and $30 for a couple, and you will receive a beautiful Valentine ticket card to give to your loved one on Valentine’s Day.

Tickets will go on sale at the clubhouse on Jan. 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, and 19, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m., or until they are sold out. All 300 seats of our 2021 event were gone the first week, so don’t delay in getting your ticket. Each couple or individual in attendance will receive a comprehensive handbook that has valuable information and planning tools. Additional handbooks may be purchased at the conclusion of the event for a suggested love offering of $20.
