The Robson Ranch African American Social Group (AASG) presented Dallas vocalist Gabe Meadows and his Lush Life Trio band at the Robson Ranch clubhouse on Sunday, Sept. 25. Gabe and his band played jazz, blues, R&B, and pop music, which included songs such as “We’re In This Love Together” and “Down Home Blues.” Everyone was surprised that we could line dance to jazz.
The sold-out crowd joined the band in singing and dancing to Stevie Wonder’s rendition of “Happy Birthday” in celebration of Robson resident David Ford’s birthday, which happened to be on the same date. A cash bar, loaded tacos, and a birthday cake were served to the crowd.
