The Robson Ranch Music Club won’t be caught sitting on their laurels. Many events are in store for 2024! The new year starts with a Mardi Gras Dance/Karaoke on Feb. 9. We had such a fun time last year with this dance that we just have to do it again! The Mardi Gras regalia was fantastic! You folks really added to the evening. Of course, dancing, line dancing, karaoke, and the celebration of friends will ensue. Tickets will be on sale Jan. 8 through Feb. 7 on PayPal for $16 via our website and in the clubhouse for $15 from 9 to 11 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday beginning Jan. 22 through Feb. 7.
Next is our sweet Singing Valentines, which will be delivered on Feb. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. No worries, all will be delivered before the Super Bowl! Sales for Singing Valentines will be available for purchase through PayPal for $25. Participants will receive a song chosen by their Valentine and sung by choir members, a rose, a card, and two special Valentine cupcakes. Here is the list of songs to choose from: “If,” by Bread, “Longer,” by Dan Fogelberg, “How Deep Is Your Love,” by the Bee Gees, You’re Still the One” by Orleans, and “Thank You for Being a Friend,” the Golden Girls theme song. Singing Valentines is a wonderful way to show your love or how much you care for a special person! The club website, rrmusicclub.com, will have more info.
On the very next Sunday, Feb. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m., it’s “Songo” (Music Bingo). It will be a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours listening to songs you forgot to remember with friends and partners. Since it is the “Month of Love,” come with your honey. You may hear that special song that brings back a special memory. Cards will be sold at the door upon entry for $10. You may purchase more than one card—a better chance to win one of our four great prizes. Come sing, dance, and enjoy a plethora of great music with fun folks.
On Sunday, March 3, at 2 p.m., you are invited to enjoy the Youth Symphony of Denton. Enjoy this splendidly talented group of young talent. You will hear a great assortment of classical music just minutes from your front door. It will be a lovely and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon while supporting the talent of the resolute youth in the area. Tickets will be sold at the door.
April brings us to the next concert by the Robson Ranch Community Choir on April 20 and 21. This concert will mark and celebrate the Music Club and choir’s 20th anniversary. An incredibly special concert of the best of the choir’s performances is planned. You will not want to miss this with all its fun and surprises!
On May 3 at 7 p.m. is the Cinco de Mayo Dance/Karaoke. Holy Moly Guacamole, come celebrate this traditional festival.
