The Robson Ranch Music Club brings two great bands to Robson for your listening and dancing pleasure in July. The Summer Sizzle Dance Party will be Friday, July 1, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. The club is especially excited to introduce a new band to Robson, The K. Ellingson Group. The group has played all over the metroplex. Venues where you may have heard them include The Balcony, GrapeFest, and the Music Mall, to name a few. The group performs 60s, 70s, and 80s rock as well as 80s and 90s country for your dancing and listening pleasure. They have a wonderful sound that will surely get your feet a-tapping, if not your heinie, on the dance floor.
Along with great music for the evening, a light supper will also be offered for $10. That little meal will consist of two chicken salad sliders and a cup of fresh fruit (vegetarian option: two egg salad sliders). The Grill has also come up with some very special drinks for the occasion. How about these tasty, boozy beverages: Robson Rum Punch, Golden Margaritas, and Spiked Cherry Limeade (there will also be a non-alcoholic version of this one). We hope to see you all there enjoying the music or shaking your tail feathers.
Tickets go on sale in the lobby of the clubhouse beginning June 13 through Wednesday, June 29, and every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until the event. Tickets are $15 for the dance and $25 for both the dance and light supper. Tickets are also available on PayPal; $16 for the dance and $26 for the dance and light supper. The cut-off date for ticket sales is June 29 in the clubhouse and on PayPal.
The Music Club will be welcoming back to Robson the Denton Community Band with conductor Carol Lynn Mizell on July 4 in the clubhouse, from 7 to 8 p.m. The band has not been here since 2019 because, well, you know why. The band performs at the Denton Library, the Denton Square Tree Lighting Ceremony, and numerous other civic occasions in the area. We are indeed extremely excited to bring them back here for you to enjoy their selections of patriotic tunes. What a perfect way to celebrate the 4th of July, but in the nice, cool air conditioning, listening to some of our country’s proud, patriotic anthems. Tickets will be $5 and will be on sale beginning June 13 through July 1 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the clubhouse. Come enjoy this wonderful band.
The Robson Ranch Community Choir was invited by Father George of St. Mark Catholic Church to sing some prelude music for their groundbreaking ceremony. Noting that the church is for the community, and Robson has many who are part of the St. Mark community, it felt fitting. The choir felt privileged to be asked to join in this celebration, along with many other dignitaries from the surrounding communities. Our website is rrmusicclub.com.
