On July 13, Robson Ranch welcomed 64 North Texas Junior PGA players from age eight through 15. Their tee times started at 7:30 a.m. through 10:30 a.m., so to keep the tournament just like the original PGA tournaments. We had parents and grandparents as caddies, and we actually had a Robson Ranch homeowner’s grandson playing in the tournament. Wow, what great swings. Several homeowner’s donated slightly used golf balls, and we let the kids scoop up a bag of balls; they loved it. I would like to thank Derell Nicklas for a big bucket of balls along with Ok Cha Cummings, Linda Klovans, and Paula Bone. Thank you, Connie Griswold and Linda Scott, for helping drive coolers full of Gatorade and water for the Junior PGA players. We look forward to welcoming the North Texas Junior PGA players for future tournaments.
